How to use Reserv-Net.NET

Find a motel or hotel in a specific community:

Select (left click) the COUNTRY or CONTINENT from the index at the left of the page.
(Note: pages displaying maps do not have an index at the left to provide more room for the maps.)

  1. A list of COUNTRIES or STATES appears; select one.
    .
  2. A list of CITIES appears. If the page is for a country (e.g., Mexico) select the city of interest. Now skip to instruction #3, below. If the page is for one of the states in the United States of America, there will be two lists of cities.

The upper list - entitled 'Most popular [State Name] destinations:' - lists the cities for which we have found most popular with people making reservations. Clicking on the city name brings up an index of the communities in the immediate area also having hotels offering discounts. Below the city name may be the word [map] in smaller type. Clicking on the word 'map' will bring up a map of the immediate area. You can accesses the lists of hotels offering discounts from either the alphabetic lists or the maps. Many people have told us they like to know of nearby communities. We hope that you, too, find this helpful. Select the city of interest from either the alphabetic list or the map.
The lower list - entitled '
[State Name] cities with hotels offering discounts:' - includes all the cities that we know have hotels offering discounts. Select your city and you can review the amenities and rates offered by these hotels. Then you can make your discount hotels reservations after which you will received an e-mailed confirmation.
Your confirmation - You should always receive an e-mailed confirmation after making a hotel reservation. If, for any reason, you do not receive one in a few minutes, please phone our 24-hour reservations center (the number is at the bottom of this page). And thank you for helping us help you.

You can accesses the lists of hotels offering discounts from either the alphabetic lists or the maps. Many people have told us they like to know of nearby communities. We hope that you, too, find this helpful. Select the city of interest from either the alphabetic list or the map.

    • Your previous selections completed section '1' but you may change it if you wish.
    • Your previous selections completed section '1' but you may change it if you wish.
    • Enter the dates for which you want the hotel room, number of adults to stay in the room, etc.
    • In section 3, select any other of the listed preferences.
    • Now left click the 'Perform Hotel Search' button (below section 3).
      .
  4. The first page of the hotels meeting your specification next appears. If you have selected a large city with lots of hotels you may change the sequence in which they appear by clicking on 'Hotel Name' or 'Rating' at the 'Sort By:' query.
    .
  5. Please note that near the top and also near the bottom of each page of the hotel lists are navigation buttons:
    << Previous | Modify Search | New Search | Next >>
Previous and Next refer to previous and next pages.
If there is no previous or next page, the appropriate button does not appear.
    .
  6. At any time, if you feel uncomfortable using the 'Internet approach' to making a reservation, you may telephone our 24/7 help desk: 1-888-254-0637 if in the USA or Canada - or 01-210-507-5997 if in any other country. PLEASE give the operator Promo Code 3309 to ensure you get the same discount as if you had made the reservation 'on-line'.

Make your 'On-line' Reservation:

We use Pegasus, Sabre, and other hotel room brokers. These companies seem to have different approaches to handling on-line reservations. For specific instructions for the page you are viewing, select 'Help' - the right-most word of the top line of the navigation group near the top of the page.

Finding hotels near a specific hotel:

There may well be times when, in searching for a place to stay, you find a hotel in the desired location but you desire amenities that hotel doesn't offer - or you don't want to pay that much - or, for any reason, you really would like to try other hotels that are located in the same area. For many locations, we now have a way to do this.
On the page with the actual hotel listings, in the second line of the listing (just below the hotel name) is another navigation bar. The last (right-most) item may be: 'Find Nearby Hotels'. If it is, you're in luck! Just left click on that item and the computer will look through the database for any hotels in the same area and present them to you in a new window.
This new listing will have an additional column - third from the right - informing you the search point distance of each hotel from the one from which this list was generated. Please be advised that these distances are 'as the bird flies' and not along a specific traffic pattern.

Review or cancel a previously entered reservation:

We use Pegasus, Sabre, and other hotel room brokers. Each of these companies has a different approach to making, reviewing and canceling on-line reservations. For specific instructions for the page you are viewing, select 'Help' - the right-most word of the top line of the navigation group near the top of that page.
If you made your reservation using our Courtesy Help Desk, you must phone them to correct or cancel that reservation.
1-888-254-0637 (toll-free) if in the USA or Canada - or 01-210-507-5997 if in any other country. In either case, the promo code 3309 is necessary to help the reservationist find your reservation.

Other web sites for other needs:

If you are looking for a hotel or motel near an IATA listed airport (any airport with a 3-letter code, e.g., SFO for San Francisco) in North America, we maintain a special web site just for that need:

www.Hotels-near-Airports.com

We also maintain a specialized reservations web site listing discounted hotel/motel rooms near primary Interstate Highway exits in the United States.

www.HiwayGuide.com

Three special web sites which we have created just for the fun of it and, because many of our web site visitors have expressed interest in their e-mails to us. (Have you written to us, yet?) They are:

www.Leaf-Lookers-Guide.com

As the name implies, this web site contains descriptions of recommended 'fall colors' destinations - viewable from your automobile. The home page includes a map showing the approximate time of the peak period of the leaf colors as well as which state are included (so far). This is a work in progress - and a lot of fun doing the research.

www.Waterfalls-Guide.com

Again, as the name implies, this web site contains descriptions of waterfalls in the U.S.A. that various staff members have visited and enjoyed. Also included are some waterfalls described by others which we felt are especially worthy of note and that some of us hope to visit some day (e.g., New England). The home page also has a map indicating the states within which you will find described waterfalls. Most - but not all - of these waterfalls are easily accessed for those of us no longer young and hardy.

www.What-Where-Info.com - or -
www.What-Where.info
(either brings up the web site)

This web site was conceived by one of our staff members who was - at the time - residing in Costa Rica. He wanted to share the beauty of that unique, south-of-the-border nation with the rest of us. So our webmaster designed the web site and, before long, other staff members wanted to add their bits about their favorite places as well as areas of residence. And it grew. Now we also receive descriptions from our site visitors which we are most happy to publish.
