immediate area. You can accesses the lists of hotels offering discounts from

know of nearby communities. We hope that you, too, find this helpful. Select
the city of interest from either the alphabetic list or the map. The lower list - entitled '[State

At any time, if you
feel uncomfortable using the 'Internet approach' to making a reservation,
you may telephone our 24/7 help desk: 1-888-254-0637
if in the USA or Canada - or 01-210-507-5997
if in any other country. PLEASE give the operator Promo Code 3309
to ensure you get the same discount as if you had made the reservation
'on-line'.
We use Pegasus, Sabre,
and other hotel room brokers. These companies seem to have different
approaches to handling on-line reservations. For specific instructions for the
page you are viewing, select 'Help' - the right-most word of the top line of
the navigation group near the top of the page.
There may well be
times when, in searching for a place to stay, you find a hotel in the desired
location but you desire amenities that hotel doesn't offer - or you don't want
to pay that much - or, for any reason, you really would like to try other
hotels that are located in the same area. For many locations, we now have a
way to do this.
On the page with the
actual hotel listings, in the second line of the listing (just below the hotel
name) is another navigation bar. The last (right-most) item may be: 'Find
Nearby Hotels'. If it is, you're in luck! Just left click on that item and the
computer will look through the database for any hotels in the same area and
present them to you in a new window.
This new listing will
have an additional column - third from the right - informing you the search
point distance of each hotel from the one from which this list was generated.
Please be advised that these distances are 'as the bird flies' and not along a
specific traffic pattern.
We use Pegasus, Sabre,
and other hotel room brokers. Each of these companies has a different approach to making, reviewing and
canceling on-line reservations. For
specific instructions for the page you are viewing, select 'Help' - the
right-most word of the top line of the navigation group near the top of that
page.
If you made your
reservation using our Courtesy Help Desk, you must phone them to correct or
cancel that reservation. 1-888-254-0637
(toll-free) if in the USA or Canada - or
01-210-507-5997if in any other country. In either case, the promo code 3309
is necessary to help the reservationist find your reservation.
If you are looking for
a hotel or motel near an IATA listed airport (any airport with a 3-letter
code, e.g., SFO for San Francisco) in North America, we maintain a special web site just for that need:
Three special web
sites which we have created just for the fun of it and, because many of our
web site visitors have expressed interest in their e-mails to us. (Have you
written to us, yet?) They are:
As the name implies,
this web site contains descriptions of recommended 'fall colors'
destinations - viewable from your automobile. The home page includes a map
showing the approximate time of the peak period of the leaf colors as well
as which state are included (so far). This is a work in progress - and a lot
of fun doing the research.
Again, as the name
implies, this web site contains descriptions of waterfalls in the U.S.A.
that various staff members have visited and enjoyed. Also included are some
waterfalls described by others which we felt are especially worthy of note
and that some of us hope to visit some day (e.g., New England). The home
page also has a map indicating the states within which you will find
described waterfalls. Most - but not all - of these waterfalls are easily
accessed for those of us no longer young and hardy.
This web site was
conceived by one of our staff members who was - at the time - residing in
Costa Rica. He wanted to share the beauty of that unique,
south-of-the-border nation with the rest of us. So our webmaster designed
the web site and, before long, other staff members wanted to add their bits
about their favorite places as well as areas of residence. And it grew. Now
we also receive descriptions from our site visitors which we are most happy
to publish.
