Welcome to
Nashville, country/western music capital of the world. But there is more
than country music that makes Nashville glitter so. Nashville is a very
cosmopolitan city; education and the arts are of major importance. In
fact, Nashville has been called the Athens of the South.
Certainly you have heard the South called the Bible Belt of the US, -
well, here is where most of the Bibles are printed! But, though Nashville
has so many other important facets, it is Country Music that brings most
folks to Nashville.
Just southwest of downtown at Division Street and 16th Avenue South
is the Country Music Hall of Fame, a major attraction. At the diagonally
opposite corner of Nashville is the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland. (Did you
know that Grand Ole Opry has broadcast continuously since 1925 - and
hasn't missed one single broadcast?)
Then there is the Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry for
over 30 years, and the Texas Troubadour Theatre, both featuring a variety
of musicals and other entertainment.
Reserving a room in a fine hotel in the Nashville area is very easy here on Reserv-Net.net. Just select the community with a left-click of your
mouse and then select the hotel of your choice. You can even request
desired amenities. |
