Welcome to
Knoxville, Springboard of Johnny Appleseed. Or, Knoxville, Gateway to the
Smokies. Or, Knoxville, Home of the UT Volunteers. (I like Johnny
Appleseed most.) Knoxville is a lot of things - and a beautiful city, too.
The great golden dome, built for the Worlds Fair, still dominates the
skyline almost as a deliberate reminder that Knoxville has successfully
combined modern technology with the arts.
Another dome, Clingman's Dome is only about 50 miles away in Great
Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited National Park in the
South. Another park, Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park, is a brief drive
to the east.
Knoxville is also filled with history as evidenced by the many
museums. Not much chance for boredom to set in!
Knoxville is home to the Tennesee Titans of the American Football
League. Tickets can be hard to come by - especially at the last minute. If
you would like to watch one of their games while in Knoxville,
Ticket-Lady.com can probably get
your tickets at a pleasant price. Or, if you already have tickets but find
you will be unable to use them,
Ticket-Lady.com would be most happy to buy them from you. You can be
sure there is someone out there looking for those tickets.
Reserving a room in a fine hotel in the Knoxville area is very easy here on Reserv-Net.net. Just select the community with a left-click of your
mouse and then select the hotel of your choice. You can even request
desired amenities. |
